To celebrate Earth Day, I am featuring several events happening this week in Napa to benefit our great earth. Get out there & make a difference!
Want to help keep the Napa River clean, but would rather drink a beer than actually go to a river cleanup? Join us at Tannery Bend Beerworks on Thursday, April 25 for an RCD fundraiser! 10% of all sales made from 3pm – 9pm will go to our Waterway Keepers Program. At 6pm, the RCD will host environmentally-themed trivia.
Join us on April 25th at 7pm at the Napa Library (580 Coombs) for a talk with author Pam Houston! Pam is the author of Deep Creek: Finding Hope in the High Country which tells the remarkable story of “that girl who dared herself to buy a ranch, dared herself to dig in and care for it, to work hard enough to pay for it, to figure out what other people meant when they used the world ‘home.”’
Napa Bookmine is proud to donate 10% of the proceeds from this event’s book sales to the Napa County Resource Conservation District, in celebration of Earth Day!
Saturday, April 27th, 2019 @ 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
The Vintage High School Thirst Project Club is working with help from the New Tech Thirst Project Club to host its Second Annual Walk for Water!
With the help of our Napa community, we're going to walk 3.75 miles to simulate some of the miles that so many walk every day to collect dirty water. The event will have music, games, VHS Culinary's "That's My Dawg" food sales, and a drawing for gift cards and gift baskets.
For just $25 for adults and $15 for students you can register to attend- $25 provides one person with access to clean water for LIFE.
Sunday, April 28, 2019: 9 am – 11 am
Join this community effort by cleaning up streets and creeks around Napa for Earth Day!
Keep Napa clean by preventing trash from getting to our River, then celebrate our river at Napa’s annual Earth Day Festival.
Chose the site that works best for you! Each one will have a site captain that will check you in. Grab some gloves, a bucket, sign a waiver and pick up some trash!
I’ll see you there!
Sunday, April 28th, 2019: 11am - 4pm
